The first layer of asphalt is complete for all phases. Crews are finishing patching today.

Upcoming schedule:

• Tuesday, September 8 through Thursday, September 10: top (final) layer of asphalt. Crews will start at Phase 1 and pave a single lane through to Phase 3, then repeat on the other side the next day. One lane will remain open to traffic throughout.
• Friday, September 11: roadway striping for all phases.

Project Overview

Prospect Drive is scheduled for a complete rebuild beginning on August 24. This work is expected to take up to 3 weeks to complete.

Due to the road's condition, a full rebuild is required rather than a surface treatment. Crews will be removing all existing asphalt, recompacting the subgrade, and then rebuilding the roadway with 2 to 3 layers of new asphalt. The result will be a completely new roadway.

The project is being completed in phases. Detours will be required throughout the project. The phase map below shows which section of Prospect Drive you are in. Each phase may take more or less than a week depending on conditions, and there may be a slight overlap between phases. This page will be updated as the work progresses, so please check back frequently for the current status of the project.

What to Expect

During working hours, residents can expect temporary lane closures along Prospect Drive, with detour routes in place. Emergency vehicles will have access at all times. Trash pickup and mail delivery will continue on their regular schedule with no interruption.

Access to individual driveways may be limited while your section is under active construction. The contractor will coordinate with residents directly so you can get in and out when you need to.

Residents in Phase 3 will have access to a shuttle running to and from the parking area on Northstar Circle while that section is under construction.

No work will take place over Labor Day weekend (September 5 through September 7).
